This laboratory emerged as a collaboration between Queerpoéticas and Heart Robota (Chile), after days of cybernetic worked for hybridization of the proposals. Robota heart is the project of Constanza Piña, who is a visual artist, dancer and researcher, focused on experimentation with electronic media, technologies
open-source and DIWO practices.

Her work reflects on the role of machines in our culture and the human-technological units, questioning the idea of education, capitalism and patriarchy techno-centrist in relation to open knowledge, autonomy and enhancement of technical manual work

Therefore, in this laboratory we were interested in addressing the technology as a possibility of expansion and reformulation of mankind, and as a tool that provides us with many opportunities to rebuild our body from our desires and freedoms, breaking binarisms man / woman, natural / artificial, human / animal, meat / machine, among others.

The lab consisted of 3 sessions during the first day we conducted an open public discussion group where they began to thematic discussion on the notions that define the body, gender and biological materiality versus the artificial, the idea of technology (Hi- fi / Low-fi), machine, prosthesis and hybrid ecosystems as possible imaginary.

During the following days we go into practical work in which we individually and collectively through an imaginary body design extensions that could be based on the exaltation of bestiality, bestiality, monsters, freaks ?, gods or mythological beings among others, also by learning some concepts of hardware hacking incorporate into our prototype an electronic part which allowed us to give an "artificial life" to our built prosthesis.

The laboratory was held at the premises of "Yantra" in the historic center of Guatemala City, and attended by 13 participants.
